Welcome To The Jungle

After leaving Quito on the way to Camp we were on a public bus. The scenery changed from mountains to rolling hilling and then  on to misty Jungle roads,. which would make  the guys of Top Gear happy.  Every so often we passed small buildings and shacks which really brings home that Ecuador is a third world country. The whole journey to camp was about 10 hrs in total with a Stop off in Tena, Which is like a frontier town to the Amazon.

Camp is amazing very basic  but really comfy, I will go into  camp life  more over  time. But I can say wow  its an highly organized cacophony  of insect and frog calls.

Already I come across some fantastic insects, including one  of the worlds most venomous spiders.046

Going to sign off now and go for a cold shower as up at dawn.
